ADOPTION UPDATE AS OF TODAY

Well we have our referral as you all know and she is real cute, and we now have a copy of her birth certificate. She was born August 24, 2006. Her name is Thuy Kieu Nguyen. However we are going to name her Brooklyn Nicole Thuy Sheaffer. We are in the final stage of the adoption. Right now we are waiting for the final approval. It is a 30 day process and by December 20th we should know something. Our agency, Orphans Overseas, say that we should be leaving sometime around the beginning to the middle of January. There are two other couples that will be going with us. One from Oregon and the other I believe Alabama. We will know more later. We still have not received her medical record so we dont know how big she is. They tell us that she is healthy though. We are figuring that by the time we get back to the state with her that she will be 5 months old.
We will be traveling to Hanoi, Viet Nam, and she is in the province Thai Nguyen, about a 1 1/2 hour from Hanoi. I am not sure if it is north or south but i am going to look it to that. Not much else with info. We will keep you all updated as to anything new. Now to some of the family things.
Austin had surgery last tuesday. He had his tonsils and adnoids removed. He is having a bad time with it. He wont eat and rarely drinks. We are watching him though. He hate that he is missing school. He loves his teacher and wants to be at school, he is in the 5th grade.
Dakota is in 9th grade. Very hard to believe. We cant believe that we have a child this old. He will be turning 15 on Dec. 25, and loves to remind us due to the fact he get to drive. Everyone watch out. He got straight A's on his last report card, what a smarty. Right now he is wrestling, his weight class is 137. He weighs 132 so he has room for growth thank goodness. His record is 3 wins 0 losses, let see how long he can keep it up. He has a match tomorrow.
Jacob is still working as GM. His work keeps him real busy. Me, I work about 10 to 15 hour a week at the nursery doing the bookkeeping, and that keeps me busy. Other than working, I am a taxi driver and a bleacher warmer. I have been sewing again so that makes me happy. It calms me, there are times Jacob will ask me if i need to go and sew, he is so funny.
All in all we are very happy and anxious to get our little girl. Until next time.

Angie
