We are finally Home

Monday we had our second interview with the U.S. Embassy and all went well and we were able to pick up Brooklyn's Passport on Tuesday after Angie had signed some papers that they had forgotten to have her sign the day before.
Since we were able to get the Visa faster then we had anticipated, we were able to change our return tickets to the U.S. from the 2nd of March to the 28th of February. Leaving Vietnam was a mixture of emotions. We were glad to be heading home, but were also going to miss the friends we had made there.
Our Flight back was interesting. We flew from Hanoi to Taipei, where we had to switch flights and go through more security. They even have check points all through the airport that read the temperature of everyone passing through and the children had to stop and have their temperature read before passing on. If you had a fever they would stop you there and quarantine you.
The interesting part comes in when I left our paperwork folder mistakenly at the 1st security screening point, and didn’t realize it until it was almost time to fly out. We were trying to communicate with the people there until finally they called someone down who work for China Air and spoke English. She was able to help us and we got our folder back and caught our flight. With out that folder we would not have been aloud back into the states with Brooklyn. On the flight to the states Brooklyn was very good. She only fussed when we were taking off and landing. We were able to get a bassinet the locks on the wall for her to use, it was nice as it gave here room to stretch out.
We finally landed in Seattle after 12 hours in the air from Taipei and had to go through all the returning procedures. First was passport check then Immigration, for Brooklyn, then customs, then a rescan of the luggage and finally we pick up our luggage and headed home.
It was COLD :) real cold. We will have to acclimate back to this weather, and poor Brooklyn I think will be living in a bundle for a while.
Other then being real tired and trying to get ourselves as well as Brooklyn on to the time differences all is going well. She is adjusting to the changes well. We had her in our room last night in the bassinet and we are trying the crib out tonight. She is currently overwhelmed by having brothers and a dog but they have taken well to her. I will send updated pictures soon, but for now we are just trying to adjust to all the differences.

We love you all,

Jac
